I wouldn't say he's a legend. He's pretty big in the R&B/Urban category right now. The songs he's written for other artists are pop smashes, "Single Ladies", "Umbrella", and "Leavin".

Yeah, we'll have to see what happens. He could be a Ja Rule/Ashanti type figure. Hot now, gone later.

In order to be Ja Rule, some upcoming artist will have to diss him into obscurity. 50 Cent anybody?
Unlike Ja, he would still be in the background creating those smash hits for our favorite artists.

Well he'll always be able to write good songs, but the question is will he be able to sustain a career if he gives everyone else the A material

Well, he is doing quite well right now. "Rockin' That Shit" is his best urban hit yet! "My Love" underperformed but the album still has been selling well and got good reviews so he should be fine

My love should've been a smash, I have no idea how that bombed.

My love should've been a smash, I have no idea how that bombed. I know. Def Jam put it out too quick. RTT was far from done.

My Love sounded way too R&B to be that big. It's probably even more R&B than most of Mariah's singles. But it sounded perfect for urban radio, and given's The-Dream's flawless urban history, it should have been a no brainer

What? Why wouldn't it. The-Dream doesn't even do that well on Rhythmic.

I think Im going to stop now. This is another one of your usual argue-about-nonsense things where you know you're wrong, but love to keep arguing

I really don't. It's SO funky. All these people talking about this song becoming a big pop hit are on a different planet.
