Music is music.
I never said PINK is a cultural icon. I am saying in terms of radio and chart success ONLY she is A-List

P!nk is a HUGE pop artist. bottom line. Huge pop artist does not necessarily equal A-List

LOL!!! Lady gaga, rihanna, even miley is more famous/popular then her. It's different tho... we are talking about music and the charts. P!nk out peaks and performs better than all of those. Lady GaGa only has one album.

Name their defining moments. what changed the world. And don't you dare say umbrella. The only defining moment thus far is GaGa's outfits are her over the top acoustic Poker Face...but you CANNOT compare a ONE ALBUM career like Gaga's to P!Nk's multiple.

This is one of the stupidest arguments I have ever read on MS. I think I know a different one about charts and spaces.

That is one of the biggest songs of the decade. How can we not mention it? And the acoustic Poker Face? How is that defining? Maybe the regular Poker Face. But the acoustic is something fans and people who follow music like us know, but not the general public. I think maybe we might have very different points of view over what's considered defining if you don't want to include Umbrella, but want to include the acoustic Poker Face and Pink.

I am saying you can't include Umbrella because that song was big kinda the same way songs like So What, Get The Party Started and Lady Marmalade were...they apparently "didn't" have enough cultural importance...They are all in that same group.
And Poker Face had the kind of longevity it did because of all the different acoustic ways she performed it...I am PRETTY sure everyone in America has heard her do it once...because she has performed the acoustic rendition on MULTIPLE Country-wide telecasts.

What? Umbrella was WAAAAY bigger than So What or Get The Party Started. You know there is a difference between "big" songs like So What and My Life Would Suck Without You and truly big songs like Boom Boom Pow or Since U Been Gone or Umbrella. And you really think everyone in America has heard the acoustic version of Poker Face at least once? I'm sorry but

I sincerely believe people who listen to pop radio, watch American Idol, MTV, SNL and Ellen have ALL heard the Acoustic version of Poker Face. And Get the Party Started is one of the 2000's anthems. It has had INCREDIBLE longevity.

It has had INCREDIBLE longevity. Pop radio? I'm sure some stations may have played it a few times but definitely not the majority of pop stations. But who knows what they do in that infamous tri state area And she didn't perform the song at the VMAs and there isn't a video for it either. And AI, SNL, and Ellen were one time performances. Not everyone who watches those shows regularly were watching that day. And not everyone who was watching that episode necessarily saw that performance. And even if people saw the performance, not everyone retained it.

I haven't heard the acoustic version of Poker Face.
Maybe indirectly thru that Cudi song sampling it.

PLZ
AND only A-Listers sell out Madison Square Garden. GaGa, Rihanna and Miley wish they could do it....the only one of those that I can see doing it is Miley.

Of course GaGa and Rihanna can't do it yet Don't forget, last time Pink tried to tour, she had to be Justin Timberlake's opening act

That was 3 YEARS ago...shortly after her well-known flop era, Try This...and since when is it bad to tour with big name artists. She wound up gaining even more popularity due to the tour and IND went on to be huge.
