Hmm, I don't know, the idea of a song called "Mean" seems counterproductive to the idea of Taylor maturing lyrically. The song's okay I guess. But I feel really let down overall from the Fearless era pre releases.

Horrible. This album is defiantly not "Fearless".

Haha this is pretty good. Not single worthy by any means (watch it be the next single, since "Mine" isn't single worthy either), but its still good. Its very COUNTRY sounding!

I just heard her say something about how she can't sing. This song is win. The girl finally got a sense of humor.

This is great. It's catchy, funny and the perfect combination of snarky and playful. It's not single-worthy by any means (although it's very country) but it's a great album track.

The full track's okay to me. It's interesting how her harmonies sound more country than they usually do. And I like the vocals that kick in at the end

IKR!? THATS HOW I FEEL It's really weird, I'm on my fourth listen and I really like it. I can't remember liking a Taylor song on an initial listen. I think it may be the subject matter, even though the lyrics seem like they were written by an acne frayed 12 year-old girl with a frightening overbite.

Apparently this song is about Bob Lefsetz, a critic who initially was a fan of Taylor but then started attacking her ("you with your switching sides") and talking about how she can't sing all the time. He wrote a response to the song analyzing whether it's about him or not. The dude's a f**king idiot. @ him thinking he's giving HER publicity.

I am absolutely in love with this song. It's awesome. The Dudley Do Right art is the icing on the cake.

He shouldn't of responded. But at the same time he does have a point in there somewhere Taylor does need to grow in some way and lyrically she hasn't matured much from the bits we have gotten with Speak Now, Mean, Mine, and Back To December.
Is it just me or does this remind anyone else of Quitter?
There's lots of empowerment songs out now is it just me? We got Raise Your Glass, We R Who We R, and now Mean. All very different but with similar messages of be who you are, no matter what.

I can't wait until October 25 to see the iTunes chart. Her entire album will probably be the top 10
