This is really boring and it sucks. The only compliment I can give is that Rihanna's voice actually does not make me want to cringe on this track. But Eminem, seriously....retire!!

wtf? I can't believe you would say that. You are the first person who I've heard that doesn't like it. Everyone said this is his either his best CD or tied for like 2nd or 3rd. I guess this is just 1 song, but many people said it is a brilliant pop song and it is by far one of the best pop songs I've heard in years.

^First of all, this is not a "pop" song. Second of all, how in the hell would this album be a top 3 album of his. SSLP and MMLP are both legendary, and even The Eminem Show was pretty good. Anyone who thinks this is his best obviously hasn't heard SSLP or MMLP.
Eminem is a shell of his former self. I prefer the way he sounded on The Re-Up to this shit. But Eminem was at his peak long, long ago.

This is a pop song. And on his biggest fan forum full of Stanz they all agreed that this album is better than Encore and Relapse and many said it was better than Eminem Show. I haven't heard it all yet, so I can't say, but from the songs I've heard it is f**king incredible.

Being better than Encore and Relapse means nothing, because those albums were a joke. Seriously, "Big Weenie" and "3 am"? Give me a break.
And this is NOT a pop song...what makes you say that?

All of his CDs have some joking material. I enjoy all of his albums, but my favorite is probably The Eminem Show. My favorite song however is Stan. I still really enjoy a lot of Relapse and Encore though. There are a lot of great material on that CD.
People have many different definitions for what is a pop song. If a song can be played on pop radio and become a hit, then it is a pop song. That is how I view it. This song is already like #80 on pop and I bet you anything it will be a #1 hit or at least in the top 10.

^His CDs have always had joking material, yes. But on SSLP, it was actually funny. No matter how many times I listen, the Ken Kaniff phone call still makes me laugh my ass off. The humor songs such as "My Name Is" were also pretty funny as well. On MMLP, there was hardly any comedy though. And most of it was so dark that it was almost hard to laugh at.
"Enter Sandman" and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" got played on what you are referring to as "pop" radio. The radio that in reality is "top 40" or "CHR". Just because a song gets played on CHR doesn't mean it's a part of the pop genre.

I already told you I consider Enter Sandman and Smells Like Teen Spirit pop hits.
Pop = Popular music.
It doesn't just have to be a female singer singing about a breakup. It can be a rock band with guitars or a rapper
Pop = appealing to the general public
Metallica and Nirvana created songs that helped them sell records. While they may not be considered a pop bands, they made some pop songs.

"Enter Sandman" is HEAVY METAL. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is GRUNGE.
Sure, they appealed to a POP AUDIENCE. I agree. It doesn't mean that they are POP SONGS, though. That's like saying that "Like Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw is a pop song just because it had some fans in that audience.

Like I said, you are getting confused.
Pop = Popular Music
It doesn't just mean a song Britney Spears or Mariah Carey would sing.
When I say, yeah Enter Sandman was a pop song I mean
Yeah, Enter Sandmand was a popular song that appealed to a wide variety of people, including ones that typically do not listen to that genre of music.

Okay, I guess this goes back to last year's discussion. Different people have different views on what "pop" music is. I think of it as a genre, you think of it as a status type thing I guess. It's cool.
But whatever genre this is, I can't believe people are praising this. What is there to like about it?

Rihanna has incredible vocals. It is a great chorus.
And his verse lyrics are haunting and memorable.

I agree about the chrous. It's some of Rihanna's best work imo.
How are Em's lyrics haunting though? And I forgot them right after I listened lol. I think of a song like "Rock Bottom" from Eminem as being haunting and memorable, even if some of it didn't make any sense.

He wanted to do something different this time around, and I think it really payed off. The vocals are just haunting. I don't know how else to explain it, but I can really picture what he is saying. It is very vivid.

Boring. Remember back in 1997, when Eminem actually had inspiration. Or how about in 2000, when he was bad ass?
